Four person, 3 hour, taster session forging a fire poker each. Monday to Friday. This short Malham Smithy Blacksmith taster session is suitable for beginners with no previous experience and focuses on learning the key basic techniques that are the involved in forging a fire poker. You will be given several design options (all participants will make the same item) and after a simple demonstration you will get straight into having a go at forging with a hammer and anvil. Please note for four people, there will be an element of teaming up as blacksmith and striker, and the session may run slightly over time, therefore have that in mind if you are making plans for after the session.
